The history of Bourne Gas Services goes back to the summer of 2000 when the Bourne family took over a holiday park in South Ayrshire, SW Scotland. It was almost impossible to get someone who was CORGI registered to service and maintain their letting and owner's static caravans. In order to resolve this issue Roger Bourne trained and obtained the qualifications needed to become a CORGI registered gas installer for static caravans and lodges. During the intervening years this was expanded to include work on domestic properties both for LPG and Natural Gas supplies.

In late 2006, son John also qualified as a CORGI gas installer, and they have now set up Bourne Gas Services to run as a full time enterprise specialising in the holiday park industry.
